
MILO® was developed by Thomas Mayne in 1934 when during the 1930s depression, children weren't getting adequate nutrients from their daily diet. Mayne was a Nestlé Industrial Chemist, who with experitse in local milk and Swiss cocoa, created MILO®. This nurtitious chocolate drink was launched at the Sydney Royal Easter show. In 1935, the brand was launched in New Zealand.
The name MILO® is named after MILO, a champion athlete in Greek mythology. He was known for his feats of strengths about 600 years BC.
MILO® works continuously throughout the year sponsoring for many sports events at various levels. It also samples regularly in schools and sports events.
MILO® Tonic Food Drink was launched in Malaysia as Tonic Food Drink.
MILO® was introduced with Vitamin B.
