Skipping meals can slow down your metabolism so you don’t burn calories efficiently, but actually tend to store them! In addition to that, when you skip a meal, you’ll feel hungry later on which can make you more likely to snack on foods high in sugar and fat.
The recommendation for a healthy weight loss is to eat 5 small and regular meals throughout the day and do some form of regular physical activity.
If you are concerned about dinner preventing you from losing weight, you need to take care of the quality of the food you choose and the amount you eat. So make sure your dinner is light and have it at least 2 hours before you sleep. Healthy dinner options include a sandwich made with whole-grain bread filled with turkey, tuna, low fat cheese or labneh with vegetables or a side salad or soup and a piece of fruit.
