Ingredients

  • 2 cups ground almonds or 500 g
  • 1 tin NESTLÉ® Sweetened Condensed Milk or 397 g
  • 100 g rose water
  • 1 packet spring roll wrapper
  • 2/3 cup sugar syrup or 200 g, optional
  • Pinch of ground cinnamon, for garnishing

Preparation

Combine the almond powder, NESTLÉ® Sweetened Condensed Milk and rose water to make soft dough.

Cut the spring roll sheets into 4 pieces each (around 9x9cm). Put a small quantity of the mixture inside the dough and fold it making the shape of a money bag.

Make a small thread from the same dough sheet and roll it over the basket to close it firmly; dip the end of the thread with a little quantity of flour mixed with water. Bake in a 140˚C preheated oven for 3 to 5 minutes (color should stay white).

Cooking tips : The spring roll sheet should be thin and soft. Make sure to cover it with wet napkins while you’re working to avoid dryness.
Serving tips : You can add a little heavy sugar syrup after baking and garnish with the cinnamon powder.
