Ingredients

  • 500 g skinned chicken breast fillets, cut into cubes
  • 7 cups water or 1750 ml
  • 2 medium onions or 300 g, cut into small cubes
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • ½ cup frike or 75 g, washed and drained
  • 2 cubes MAGGI® Chicken Less Salt Bouillon
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 100 g artichoke bottoms, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice

Preparation

Place chicken pieces and water in a large saucepan. Bring to boil and skim froth as it appears.

Add onion, garlic, Frike, MAGGI® Chicken Less Salt Bouillon cubes and cinnamon. Simmer covered for 1 hour or until Frike and chicken are cooked.

Season with black pepper then add artichoke, lemon juice and simmer for another 10 minutes or until artichokes are cooked.
