A common misconception! The rationale behind this statement is that during the initial stages of a weight loss diet you have the fastest weight loss, and if you start exercising, you start building muscle which will add some body weight and reflects on the number you see on the scale. But, that is not true! Exercise is recommended throughout the stages of weight loss as it helps maintain muscle mass, burn calories, and aids weight loss from fat deposits.

What happens if you don’t exercise when dieting? You start losing muscle mass so you lose kilos from the wrong place in your body. In addition to that, your metabolism slows down, making it difficult for you to lose weight effectively!
