  • 1 tin Nestlé® Sweetened Condensed Milk or 397 g
  • 100 g or ½ cup melted butter
  • 1 tin Nestlé® Cream or 170 g
  • 4 cups water or 1000 ml
  • 100 g or ½ cup caster sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest grated
  • 100 g or ¾ cup plain flour
  • 150 g or 1½ cups tea biscuits
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 3 tablespoons ground pistachio nuts
  • 3 tablespoons desiccated coconut

How to prepare

  1. Combine Nestlé® Sweetened Condensed Milk, butter, Nestlé® Cream, water, sugar, eggs, vanilla and lemon zest in a mixing bowl and mix until well combined; add flour to the mixture by batches and mix until the mixture smoothens.
  2. Place the mixture in a large saucepan, whisk constantly over medium heat until it boils. Simmer for 1 minute or until mixture thickens then remove from heat.
  3. In a large baking dish; make layers in sequence of cream mixture, biscuits and cacao powder, repeat to end with cream mixture on top.
  4. Sprinkle ground pistachio and coconut on top and place in a preheated oven at 180°C for 5 minutes. Remove from oven and let it cool to room temperature then place in fridge, slice and serve.
