  • 3 tablespoons Vegetable oil
  • 2 small Whole chickens
  • 3 medium Onions
  • 3 cloves Garlic
  • 6 cups Water
  • 1.5 cups Frike
  • 1 small Cinnamon stick
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 3 cubes MAGGI Chicken Stock
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 pinch ground pepper

How to prepare

  1. Heat oil in a large pot, fry chicken pieces till they adopt a slight color. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same pot, add the onions, garlic and fry for 4 minutes.
  3. Add water, frike, cinnamon, black pepper and MAGGI Chicken Stock cubes. Cover and cook on low heat for 20 minutes.
  4. Return the chicken pieces to the pot, and cook for another 40 minutes or until the chicken and frike are well-cooked cooked.
