Ingredients 10 items

  • 4 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 medium onion or 150 g, chopped
  • 2 whole pieces dried limes, cut into halves
  • 1 teaspoon saffron filaments
  • 2 cups fresh dill or 150 g, chopped
  • 3 cubes Maggi Chicken Stock
  • 1 tin canned green peas or 400 g, drained
  • 1 teaspoon ground cardamom
  • 2½ cups basmati rice or 500 g
  • 4½ cups water or 1125 ml

How to prepare

  1. Heat oil in a saucepan and fry chopped onions for 2 minutes or until it becomes tender.
  2. Add dried limes, saffron threads, dill, MAGGI Chicken Stock cubes, strained green peas and cardamom then stir all for 1 minute. Add rice and water.
  3. Bring to a boil then cover and simmer on low heat for 15-20 minutes or until rice is cooked.
