- 1 kg lamb, cubes with bones

- 2½ cups basmati rice or 500 g, washed and drained
- 2 tablespoons ghee
- 3 medium onion or 450 g, sliced
- 1 cup yoghurt or 250 g, fresh
- 3 cloves crushed garlic
- 1 teaspoon ground saffron soaked in ¼ cup or 60ml Kadi water
