Ingredients 12 items

  • 1.5 cups cups plain flour or 210 g
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 tin Nestlé® Sweetened Condensed Milk or 397 g
  • 3 teaspoon ground cardamom
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla powder
  • 3 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 3 cup butter or 150 g, melted
  • 3 Eggs
  • For the toffee topping:
  • 1 cup sugar or 100 g
  • 1 cup butter or 50 g
  • 1 tin Nestlé® Cream or 170 g

How to prepare

  1. Combine flour, baking powder, NESTLÉ Sweetened Condensed Milk, cardamom, vanilla powder, cocoa, butter and eggs in a bowl of an electric mixer.
  2. Beat on low speed until all ingredients are combined, then beat on medium speed for 4-5 minutes or until mixture is smooth and changes color.
  3. Turn the mixture into a greased 25cm round baking tin and bake in 170°C preheated oven for 1 hour or until a skewer inserted comes out clean. Turn out and leave to cool.
  4. To prepare the toffee topping:
  5. Stir the sugar over medium heat in a pan until it turns golden in color. Stir in the butter and NESTLÉ Cream and cook stirring for 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat.
  6. Spread the toffee topping evenly on top of the cake and chill.
