  • 2/3 cup butter or 125 g, chopped
  • 2 teaspoons Lemon peel grated
  • ¼ cup lemon juice or 60 ml
  • 1 tin NESTLÉ Sweetened Condensed Milk or 397 g
  • 1½ cups white self-raising flour or 210 g
  • 1 cup caster sugar or 200 g
  • 3 Eggs

How to prepare

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C. Brush a deep 23cm fluted ring tin with melted butter or oil.
  2. Combine all ingredients in a medium bowl of an electric mixer.
  3. Beat the ingredients on slow speed until they combine. Then beat them on medium speed until the mixture is smooth and changes color.
  4. Pour and spread the mixture into the prepared pan. Bake in the oven for 50-55 minutes. Or until the skewer comes out clean when inserted in the center.
  5. Leave the cake in the tin for 5 minutes before turning it onto a wire rack to cool.
  6. If desired, dust the cake when it cools with sifted icing sugar.
