Ingredients 6 items

  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 1 medium Onion
  • 7 cups Water
  • 1 cup green lentil
  • 1 sachet MAGGI Spring Season Soup
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley

How to prepare

  1. Warm olive oil in a large sauce pan, cook onion for 2-3 minutes or until tender.
  2. Add water and lentils. Bring to a boil and simmer covered for 30 minutes or until lentil is almost cooked.
  3. Add MAGGI Spring Season Soup to a saucepan, stir and simmer for another 10 minutes.
  4. Add chopped parsley. Stir and serve.
Do you feel full after eating lentils? It's probably due to the soluble fiber in it, which actually slows down digestion and emptying of the stomach and makes you feel full so it helps you control your weight!

What's the difference between green and red lentils?

Green lentil and red lentils are almost the same nutritionally. A slight difference: green contains more soluble fiber than red!
