Ingredients 10 items

  • 150 g or ¾ cup sugar
  • 150 g or ¾ cup unsalted soft butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1½ cups or 210 g plain flour
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 tin Nestlé® Sweetened Condensed Milk or 397 g
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 75 g or ½ cup dark chocolate chips

How to prepare

  1. Combine sugar and butter in a bowl and beat well using an electric beater for 3-4 minutes or until mixture changes in color.
  2. Add eggs, flour, grated lemon zest, vanilla, baking powder and Nestlé® Sweetened Condensed Milk and mix until mixture is smooth.
  3. Pour half of the mixture over a greased and floured 23x28cm baking tin. Stir the remaining cake mixture with the cocoa powder until it's smooth. Add in the chocolate chips and stir. Spoon the cocoa mixture randomly over the plain mixture.
  4. Bake in 180˚C preheated oven for 40-45 minutes or until skewers inserted in the middle comes out clean.
