Ingredients 9 items

  • 2 cups whole wheat
  • 12 cups Water
  • 1 kg lamb fillets
  • 2 cubes MAGGI Chicken Stock
  • 6 whole cardamom pods
  • 2 Cinnamon sticks
  • 1 teaspoon whole black peppers
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup Sugar

How to prepare

  1. Wash the wheat and soak overnight.
  2. Place meat pieces and water in a large pot, bring to a boil and remove froth as it appears.
  3. Add the wheat, MAGGI Chicken Stock cubes, cardamom pods, cinnamon sticks and whole black pepper. Cover the pot and cook over low heat for 2 hours or until the meat and wheat are completely cooked. Add more boiling water if necessary.
  4. Use a wooden spoon or a kitchen blender to mash the meat and wheat while stirring.
  5. Pour the melted butter on top and sprinkle with icing sugar and serve.
