Ingredients 14 items

  • 500 g sliced chicken breast fillets
  • 0.5 teaspoon chili powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 onion or 150 g, finely sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic finely sliced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger finely chopped
  • 1 lemongrass stalk finely chopped
  • 1 small cinnamon stick
  • 1 cup or 50 g MAGGI Coconut Milk Powder
  • 2 cups or 500 ml water
  • 1 cube MAGGI Chicken Stock
  • 2 tablespoons tamarind juice

How to prepare

  1. Combine chicken slices, chili, turmeric and cumin powder. Leave aside for 10 minutes.
  2. Heat oil in a pan, cook onion, garlic, ginger, lemongrass and add cinnamon. Fry until onion is golden brown.
  3. Add seasoned chicken and fry for 5 minutes. Add MAGGI Coconut Milk Powder, water MAGGI Chicken Stock cubes and tamarind juice.
  4. Bring to a boil and simmer for 8 minutes.
  5. Serve with cooked rice or noodles.
